It's been a while since I had the pleasure of watching an Erika Lust video. It's not that I don' like her videos or anything, it's just that they come few and far between. Instead of churning out movie after movie (though that's not a bad thing either!), Lust takes her time getting every last detail just right and making each video as amazing as possible. It's been two years since her last flick Barcelona Sex Project, so I knew I was in for a total treat. And since this is the genius of Erika Lust, I was not disappointed.
Divided into three vignettes - life, love and lust (a total shock when you think of the title, I know), this awesome 35 minute flick takes on each segment with a fresh perspective and amazingly hot action.
First up is life, a sexy tryst between a couple that works at the same restaurant. They head home after work and fall into bed together, bringing some intensely steamy erotica to our screen. So hot. Only after the action, while they are lying in the afterglow do they mention that it is the guy's birthday. Ok, so they may have said something about it before, but the whole movie is in Spanish and I have no clue what anyone is saying. Anyway, after the sexing, they show our friends celebrating his birthday with a candle in a muffin (?) and a wrapped present, which ends up being all about life - a positive pregnancy test. While that may make other porn viewers a bit nervous to be reminded that sex equals bebes, it warmed my heart and made me smile.
Next we have love - another sentiment you don't usually see in porn. While I'm not 100% sure what happened in this chapter, the description explains that a 40-something executive seduces a younger man she meets occasionally in a hotel. Again, maybe I would have got that if I spoke Spanish, or maybe if I wasn't so enamored and distracted by the hot sex. Like all sexy 40-something executives should be, this awesome lady is stuffy on first meeting, but opens up to be a super hot sex kitten with a few surprising tattoos and a wicked sexy smile. I'm not shocked that our adorable shaggy-haired guy was totally smitten with this older beauty. I'm not sure I got the ending of him sitting on the bed correctly, but I assume that she stopped coming around. Sorry for the spoiler.
And lastly we have lust - the cornerstone of most porn movies. I love that Erika Lust did this one a little different though. The scene opens on a woman going to a building, walking inside and abruptly turning around, then changing her mind and returning to get the massage she as apparently planning to get. From this super sexy naked lady, who oils her own body up and massages the other woman with her own greased up body. Good times! Very little sex in this chapter, but definitely the hottest by far. Three cheers for lust - the chapter, the emotion and, of course, the director!
I don't know if it's because her movies are shot in Spain, or it's just Lust's aesthetic, but there is something magical about her cinematography and video quality. They are seriously awesome and far surpass any other porn I see - and I see a lot! Also, I can't forgot to mention Lust's free quickie Handcuffs (which won Sexiest Short Film of the Year 2010 at The Feminist Porn Awards!). We reviewed it last week, so definitely check it out!
