Kittens 12 is an interesting plot-driven girl/girl sex romp that showed a great deal of potential, yet left this reviewer wanting more. In fact, in one case, a lot more.
Kitten 12 actually sets up an interesting, if not somewhat predictable for an adult film, plot. Gwendolyn, played by the stunning new sensation Sunrise Adams, is sent to the home of Mistress Victoria, the beautiful Taylor St. Claire, to learn the ways of lesbianism for the pleasure of her wealthy husband. Gwen must choose between this request or life on the streets, and quickly decides to explore her lesbian side. Personally, I woulld have liked her slightly more reluctant at first, but overall, Sunrise plays the role well, and Taylor St. Claire is an outstanding mistress.
In the first scene, Gwen (Sunrise) must watch two girls play along side the pool while Mistress Victoria (Taylor) strokes her young body. The action between the girls at the pool is rather tame, but satisfying enough. The next scene features Gwen's first encounter with Mistress Victoria's young slave girl, which is not a particularly great scene. Gwen does not resist as much as a reluctant woman would, yet when she begins to get into the action, she simply licks her partner, who seems as ineager as Gwen. In the following scene, Mistress Victoria takes on another one of her young learners, with most passionate results. The scene includes strapons and other toys, and Taylor St. Claire truly demonstrates the sexual powers that she posesses. The fourth scene is a fantasy sequence in which Gwen envisions two young women in the most passionate of encounters. This is the movie's best scene by far, with the action ranging from hot lips and fingers to insatisable strap-ons and anal beads. The two performers also display an exceptionally strong chemstry and deep desire. Truly a wonderful girl/girl moment. That great scene, however, leaves the final scene very flat, and since it is between Gwen amd Taylor, it should be the highlight of the film. Instead, it's a major disappointment. It's a beautiful setting in an outdoor fountain, yet all the two girls do is coolly lick each other and Gwen rides a glass toy. This is supposed to be the scene in which Gwen declares herself a full lesbian with no desire to return to her husband. Instead, it feels cold and a little sad. It must have been signifcantly cut since it's also the shortest scene of the film.
The visuals of the film are very good, first-class production, and for the most part, the girls in the film are top flight beauties. However, the final scene was such a disappointment that instead of rating Kittens 12 as one of the top girl/girl films to be found, which it could have been, it's only mildly decent. Worthy of a rental, especially for either Sunrise Adams or Taylor St. Claire fans, but it will be a disappointment in your permanent collection.
