Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very good and nicely balanced, but there are a few minor areas that seem a little off and a couple background noises. The video is much the same way. It’s nicely lit and free of noticeable grain, except there are a couple spots with a touch of pixelation.
Music: None.
Menus: The menus aren’t too bad. The chapter menu has some decent animation and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.
The Feature: Latin Extreme goes on a simple theme of Latin girls. The five scenes are completely independent and rarely have any kind of lead-in to the scenes. At the start of each scene, however, you’re giving the name of the girl and her nationality.
Peruvian Alexis Amore starts things off with Nikko Knight, showing him that she likes her photographers to be a little more ‘hands-on’. She has him finger her and tongue her ass, but reminds him who’s in control when he tries to finger her ass. She lets him lick her pussy before energetically sucking his pierced (yipe!) cock and balls. Nikko gives it to Alexis missionary style and from behind as she demands that he fuck her hard, and finishes things off giving her an impressive pop in and around her mouth. It’s a hot and energetic scene, and I think the only complaint I can have (other than a couple sore muscles from wincing at the sight of a pierced cock) is that Nikko is rarely shown. He’s not that bad looking of a guy and it can help to show a little more chemistry between the performers. There’s not much doubt whether Nikko and Alexis are into each other with how they go at it here, but since sex is normally something between at least two people it’s nice to see how they’re both reacting to it.
Estefana, a very cute Mexican with a band-aid on her knee, starts the next scene off diddling herself with her fingers and a large purple dildo while moaning in Mexican. She’s interrupted by Tyler, who cleans a spot off his face for her to sit on so he can tongue her twat. Estefana sucks him and lets him fuck her tits while moaning and playfully making comments like “Peek-a-boo”. As nice as this sounds, I was almost ready to fall asleep since the warmup had dragged on for what seemed like forever. Luckily, they fuck through the standard positions a bit faster until Estefana takes a small pop form Tyler in her mouth. I really wanted to like this scene, since Estefana looks like she’s having a lot of fun, but with the pacing and something about Tyler I just couldn’t get into it. The editing also seemed a little jagged, since every camera cut was extremely noticeable.
Puerto Rican Ice D’Angelo starts out her scene with a bit of masturbation also. She works on herself with a pink dildo until T. J. Cummings shows up and takes it in his mouth to fuck her with it. He even sucks on it a bit to give it a little additional spit. Needless to say, I was more than a little shocked to see a guy do this, but since T. J. is bisexual it’s nothing new for him. T. J. sits on Ice’s face so she can give his ass a little love and a few unlubricated anal beads before they continue on with plenty more oral action, including more blowjobs, rimming for T. J., and Ice giving T. J.’s nipples some heavy attention. As with the last scene there’s a lot of foreplay, but it’s mixed up a bit better here and works much better in my opinion. Surprisingly, the fucking doesn’t last nearly as long as the foreplay does, and after a couple positions Ice gets a mouth full of guy goo. It’s a pretty good scene that nicely brings in some different action. I love both Ice’s attention for T. J.’s nipples as well as her giving him a little anal play. A little anal back and forth between them would have really been nice, and I’m sure a lot of people would have liked to watch Ice take it to the next level with a strap-on. As is, it’s still a good scene that works despite a few faults.
Spanish AnnMarie gets some action from Marty Romano in a prison cell in the penultimate scene. He fingers her as she pulls his hair, and turns her around for an asslicking before fingering AnnMarie some more. She gives him a bit of head before climbing on him to play cowgirl, before they energetically work through a few other common positions. Sometimes they even change things up a bit to make it a little more interesting. Finally, Marty pops on AnnMarie’s stomach. I can’t help but be impressed with AnnMarie after watching this, and can easily see why so many people have been following her. She obviously loves sex and puts her all into the scene while demanding everything her partner can give her. The camera work seemed a bit claustrophobic here, and I couldn’t help but feel that the cameraman was doing everything he could to avoid catching anything beyond Marty’s cock on camera. Once again, this threw the scene off a little for me since it made things seem completely one-sided. On the plus side, however, AnnMarie and Marty gave this scene an intense feeling that for the first time in the movie, made a scene feel a bit ‘extreme’.
Mexican Misty Mendez finishes things up, and starts off with a dildo just like most of the other girls. She fucks herself with the dildo until Rod Fontana appears to take the place of her toy. They trash talk back and forth as Misty warms up Rod, sucking him, stroking him, and giving him one heck of a titty-fuck, before she climbs on to ride him while he plays with her ass. Misty takes the anal train next, letting Rod fuck her ass doggie style as well as reverse cowgirl, missionary, and piles driver, and obviously takes a little time to get into it. Once she does, however, she does a great job taking it in the can right up until Rod gives her a decent facial. This is easily one of the best scenes in the movie. Misty and Rod play great off each other, and Misty really seems to get into it also. The scene also didn’t feel as drawn out as many of the others and had more of an ‘extreme’ feel, as it had anal and a rougher, more intense feel to it.
Latin Extreme is a decent start for a gonzo movie, and has a few faults. The sex here is all between two people, but the camera never seems to want to admit that there’s anything beyond a dick with any of the girls. This hurt some of the chemistry in the scenes for me because although I could normally see that the girls were into it, and the girls normally really got into it, I could never tell if the guys were. My second problem is that none of the sex really seemed extreme. The girls are often fairly intense, but there’s only a couple scenes with anal in them and one of them it’s for the guy! If the movie had a different name, I wouldn’t have even considered this a problem. Finally, the scenes all seemed a bit too drawn out. Each of the scenes could have easily lost a couple minutes and have been better scenes. Although I got into most of the scenes, I also found myself reaching for the fast forward button a few times in the movie because it didn’t seem to be going anywhere. That isn’t to say that the girls weren’t doing a good job, as all of them looked to get into their scenes very well. It just took so long for that to happen that the scenes started to lose me a little. Latin Extreme is above average, but not by much. I’m sure anybody who really likes Latin girls will enjoy it, but the casual viewer might want to rent it rather than buying it.
Extras: The photo gallery lasts almost three and a half minutes with about five seconds per nice looking snapshot. Trailers are also included for the entire Babylon line, as well as interviews with several of the stars. Alexis Amore talks about three and a half minutes about working with T. T. Boy, liking rougher sex, and getting psyched for her scenes. Ann Marie takes a little shy of a minute and three quarters to talk about how long it takes to shave her legs while the camera absorbs every inch of them and where she gets her lingerie. Finally, Misty Mendez takes about three and a quarter minutes about giving it to guys in the ass and some of her thoughts on being in the industry.

Overall: Currently, most of Babylon’s DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $25 with a good portion of stores offering them for about $20. If you’re a big fan of Latin women, this is probably going to be worth the money. The girls all get into things nicely, but some of the scenes feel a bit long. The technical aspects have a few minor faults, and there’s also a few nice extras.
Note to Babylon: You’ve got a very good start here! Longer isn’t always better, and a little more editing would have helped this one a lot.
