Babysitters is even more stunning on Blu-ray!

There haven't been a ton of Blu-ray releases from the adult studios yet, but if you're looking for some that match the kind of video and audio quality you're getting from mainstream, you definitely want to pick up some titles from Digital Playground.

Always a leader in A/V quality, the Blu-ray quality of Babysitters is simply stunning. The standard version is already pretty sharp-looking, but that's nothing compared to the almost 3D-like image you get on this Blu-ray release. It really "pops".

Babysitters included some of my favorite sex scenes from 2007, so it's nice to be able to see them again in 1080i (although not 1080p, despite the notation on the back of the box). While all of the scenes are above-average in quality, the two most viewers should really enjoy actually don't involve Digital Playground Contact Girls at all: the opening scene between Nautica Thorn and Tony DeSergio; and a later "blow bang" involving AVN's 2008 Performer of the Year Sasha Grey and a group of guys.

One of the biggest worries about hi-def porn has been that the talent won't look as attractive, since viewers will be more able to clearly see any "flaws". To me, this just makes the action more realistic, and allows one to discover who the "true" beauties are. For the record, both Nautica and Sasha look stunning here, but don't worry, Digital Playground fans - Jesse Jane, Teagan Presley, Shay Jordan and Sophia Santi look hot too!

The Blu-ray of Babysitters includes all the extras from the standard release, with the difference being that all the bonus material is also presented in 1080i resolution (the photo gallery is full 1080p). The bonuses include a 10 ½-minute behind the scenes featurette; a 7-minute bloopers/outtakes segment; and text biographies for all the Digital Playground Girls.

A nice selection of trailers has also been included, all of them also in 1080i. They consist of the following: Pirates; Pirates II; Hush; Island Fever 3; Sexual Freak; Teen America 3; Jack's POV; Island Fever 4; and Cockasian. The trailer for Babysitters also plays in the background of the title's Main Menu.

The only thing really missing here is some sort of Blu-ray exclusive or bonus feature that would provide a little more incentive for those who already own the standard release to upgrade to this superior version. Still, if you can afford the "double dip," this is one of the best Blu-rays currently being offered by an adult studio.

These Babysitters Can Watch Me Anytime!

It's fall, and that means it's time for all the adult studios to release their "big" titles in hopes of bringing home a few AVN trophies come January. In past years, Digital Playground has either released the latest volume of Island Fever or done something big budget like Pirates, but this year they decided to keep the costs down and just concentrate on the talent and the sex. And you know what? Turns out this is one of their hottest titles in years!

Babysitters is directed by Robby D., and features Digital Playground contract girls Jesse Jane, Teagan Presley, Sophia Santi and Shay Jordan all in their own individual sex scenes (Shay actually gets two!). But the fun doesn't stop there. Also making appearances here are Gina Lynn, Sasha Grey, Nikki Benz, Alektra Blue, Sammie Rhodes, Lexxi Tyler and Angie Savage. See, I told you this was good!

Babysitters is basically a series of comedic vignettes about...you guessed it...babysitters getting naughty. The first scene has Nautica Thorn being hired by Tony DeSergio's wife to give him help taking care of the baby. Of course, Nautica is more concerned about taking care of Tony, and it isn't long until she's seduced him into some one-on-one action. After pounding her in multiple positions, Tony deposits a nice load onto her face and into her mouth.

Sasha Grey plays a girl named "Danni", whose boyfriend is pissed at her because she's not putting out...so he leaves and she heads off for a babysitter's job at the home of Charles Dera (playing a guy named "Chip"). Chip tells Danni he doesn't need a babysitter today, but when he finds out that she needs some extra cash, he has other ideas for her. All his pals' wives are away at a Tupperware party, and the husbands want to do something fun, so they decide to use young Sasha as their personal sex toy for the evening. Sasha hooks up with Sashca first (don't get confused!), gives him a great blowjob and jerks him into her mouth and onto her face. Then it's time for fun with Charles and the other two guys in the room (Jerry and Jay Lassiter) whom she treats to a blow-bang, sucking them all off until they jerk their loads onto her face. Sure, it's a non-penetration scene, but it's one of the hottest I've ever seen Sasha in.

We then jump over to the Tupperware party, which has Alektra Blue, Angie Savage, Lexxi Tyler and Sammie Rhodes all gathered together. When Sophia Santi shows up wearing a strap on, we quickly realize that no Tupperware sales are going to be made at this party! A hot 5-girl orgy ensues, including lots of toy play and Sophia taking turns at fucking the other gals.

Sexy Teagan Presley is up next, whose boyfriend Tyler Durden has injured his leg, so she finds him inside the house playing video games. A few minutes later, she catches him in the bathroom jerking off into a wash cloth, and gets so turned on by it that they start to make out with each other. Teagan fans will be happy to hear that we once again get to see her take anal, as Tyler fucks her ass in both the missionary and standing doggy positions before depositing his load onto her behind.

Shay Jordan is babysitting at the home of a couple played by Gina Lynn and Ben English, and she sneaks boyfriend Scott Nails into the house while the couple is still out. The wind up going into Gina and Ben's bedroom for sex, which ends in the reverse cowgirl position with Scott jerking up onto her pussy.

Of course, Gina and Ben catch the two on their bed, but while Scott takes off, Shay is left behind to deal with the consequences...which just happens to be a threesome with them! Ben's the lucky one here, as he basically takes turns with both the ladies, pounding them in the reverse cowgirl, spoon, cowgirl and doggy positions. When it's time to cum, Ben jerks into both their mouths.

The final scene has Jesse Jane playing a babysitter that is Tommy Gunn's "birthday gift" from his wife, played by Nikki Benz. This follows the same pattern of the previous scene, with Tommy taking turns with each one of the girls. It also features a similar pop-shot, as Tommy blasts into both their mouths, but this time we get to see some cum swapping and kissing between the women.

Shot with HD cameras and presented in high-def with 5.1 Dolby sound, Babysitters looks and sounds great on DVD. The only thing that takes this release down a notch is the lack of bonus material, as the disc only contains a 10 ½-minute Behind The Scenes featurette; a 7-minute bloopers reel; cast bios; and four trailers for other Digital Playground titles (Pirates; Island Fever 4; Jesse In Pink; and the Pirates II teaser trailer).

It may not be the most glamorous, and it may not be the most high-end, but Babysitters was without a doubt, the most fun I've had watching a Digital Playground release in a long, long time. It's worth every penny.

Good, but could have been better.

There are many positives about this film: the girls/ladies are gorgeous, and real care has been taken to show them at their glorious best in terms of make-up, clothes and general presentation; the premise of the story is simple but well held together, and each scene is nicely linked, so that you have the feeling of a feature rather than loosely connected scenes; the wealthy, middle-class suburban setting is well created and believable, and the acting is generally of a pretty decent standard; the concept is a sexy one, and many of the scenes are exciting, well imagined ideas.

The only 'but' is that despite all this really good groundwork, some of the sex scenes are not as well shot as they should have been, which is a real pity in a film of this potential quality. The ones that seem to suffer most are the one-on-ones. Teagan Presley, for example, has a scene where as the babysitter she seduces the older son of the house in the bathroom. Teagan is a beautiful girl, but the direction, camerawork and editting of this scene were poor - really sudden shot changes, and way too many boring close-ups (please take note, all adult film makers, it's always much more interesting when you see a girl being penetrated if you can see her face at the same time in the same shot; that's sexy and erotic. prolonged genital close-ups are just dull). The camera was all over the place, and the editing was haphazard and erratic - i almost felt a little seasick at times during this scene; it was almost as if the crew felt they had to compensate for there being only two people in the scene. Sometimes less is more, especially when you have a beautiful girl like Teagan in the scene. Maybe this is why the scenes with 3 or more participants were better because the crew felt they had to be less involved.

The best scene by far was Sasha Grey's four man oral gang bang; very hot and erotic, and it's an oral penetration only scene! In second place is Ben English and his gorgeous wife Gina Lynn coming home to discover their saucy little babysitter Shay Jordan has been fucking her boyfriend on their bed. A very hot threesome ensues, where the two older particpants take depraved advantage of the young girl, but she is more than up for it.

So generally speaking, this was a very well made and entertaining movie. I will certainly watch the other two films by Robby D in this trilogy (Nurses and Cheerleaders). I just hope the one-on-one sex scenes are shot and produced better.

OK for couples, forward through the weak parts.

From a couples perspective, this movie has some strong points and some weaknesses. Physical beauty, good sound, and building actual passion are what my wife and I enjoy. So, we forwarded through Sasha Grey subjugating herself to a group blowjob, which seemed pretty harsh and without passion, and the scene with 5 or 6 women, which seemed to be a lark. We spent a couple of evenings working through the other scenes, which was fun. Teagan Presley is particularly gorgeous and is mostly effective at eliciting passion.

Best movie I've watched in years

Sasha Grey's oral scene makes this whole movie worth watching. One of the hottest scenes I've ever watched in any movie and there is zero penetration aside from her mouth. It is nothing short of a throat pounding. This lady has talent. Apparently she doesn't need to breath!

Every scene it this movie is very well done. The final scene with Jesse Jane is really good. Ms. Jane seems like she is really into her work in this scene. The video quality is really great, and an overall fun film to watch. I'd give this one an A plus.

Gorgeous models, gorgeous color

Hot, lush action from start to finish. Nautica Thorn plays "innocently nasty" to a tee and she shines in her scene. Sasha Grey's deep throat scene is amazing, shocking, and titillating. Some of the models I didn't care for as I thought they looked too "fake" (lips and boobs), but the photography and colors were gorgeous.
