Late-80's Porn At Its Finest!

When sitting down to watch an adult classic title, I always put a different "reviewer's cap" on my head - reminding myself not to compare the film with some of the more elaborate titles of today but rather the other movies of the film's particular era. Even then, I never set my sights too high, since I realize that the 70's, 80's and much of the 90's were spent making basic "fuck flicks", with not much attention to acting or story.

So I must admit to being pleasantly surprised with Pretty Peaches 2, a classic from 1987 and one of director Alex DeRenzy's more popular films. The story is fast-moving and often very funny, the women are attractive - even by today's standards, and the sexual situations are quite erotic.

The story revolves around young "Peaches" (played by the very-cute Siobhan Hunter) who is still a virgin, but is looking to find out more about sex. The movie opens with her almost going all the way on a couch with Peter North, but her mother (Tracy Adams) arrives home and sends young Peter on his way...or so she thinks. Peter hides out in Tracy's bedroom and winds up getting caught spying on the undressing Tracy. Tracy pulls a large from her bedroom dresser's drawer (which is where everyone keeps knives, isn't it?) and Peter to take his clothes off at knifepoint. This, of course, leads to some naughty sex between the two.

As it turns out, Peaches parents are divorced, so she goes and sees her father (Herschel Savage) at work to ask him his opinion about how she can find out more about sex. Herschel suggests that she go see her uncle in San Francisco and reminds her not to be a tease...because guys hate that! When Siobhan leaves, Herschel starts making out with his secretary (Tami White) on his office desk.

Siobhan has to hitchhike to Frisco, and gets picked up by Buck Adams who takes her to a motel room for the night. While Siobhan is in the bathroom, a hooker (Jeanette Littledove) shows up at the door and Buck has her come in for some fun. Siobhan comes out and is shocked by what she sees...but lies back on the bed and watches the action...and even gets to suck on Jeanette's breasts a bit.

Siobhan finally makes it to her uncle's house (her uncle is played by Ron Jeremy) and once she tells him why she came out to see him, he decides to show her something really dirty - and he and his son (Billy Dee) start getting it on with Ron's wife (Ashley Wells)! I'm assuming Billy is supposed to be Ashley's stepson, but still, this is a pretty kinky scene and kind of erotic to watch, despite the fact that Ron is one of the performers!

When Tracy Adams gets word of where her daughter has run off to, she and Herschel start heading out to find her. They also wind up staying at a motel room, where Tracy starts getting it on with FM Bradley while Herschel is trapped in the bathroom (Tracy puts a chair up against the door). When Herschel finally breaks through, FM takes off, but Herschel is so turned on by his ex-wife fooling around with a stranger that the two of them start making out with each other.

Back in Frisco, Siobhan is introduced to the grandmother of the family - who is actually Jamie Gillis in disguise! It takes a while for Siobhan to figure out that the grandmother is actually a man, but when she finally does, Jamie treats her to some reverse cowgirl action, followed by cowgirl and spoon fucking before he spurts all over her pussy.

Meanwhile, Tracy and Herschel have arrived at Ron's home, and in an attempt to find out where their daughter has gone, Tracy screws around with Ron while Herschel makes out with another member of the household, played by Melissa Mendez.

Melissa tells Herschel how she took Siobhan into Chinatown, where she got some action from a masked man - who turns out to be Ron! Later, Siobhan and Melissa get it on with each other, followed by a scene where Peter North shows up and Siobhan finally gets to have some fun with her boyfriend in the film's closing sex scene.

The video and audio of this classic have been nicely transferred to DVD by VCA, and while a few flaws are evident in the film, this is one of the better classic transfers I have seen. Most of the bonus features on this disc have been devoted to give fans 20 minutes of "approved" footage from the original Pretty Peaches, a film that has been yanked from VCA's distribution due to various "" mentions that take place during the movie. This footage can be watched with the original audio, or with a commentary track by Jim Holliday who explains the parts we are missing in the movie, and why they can no longer be shown.

Pretty Peaches 2 is certainly a must-have DVD for all fans of classic adult material, and it may be the best classic to buy for first-timers who think they might be interested in older material, but aren't sure if they will enjoy it or not. The film represents late-80's porn at its finest and comes highly recommended.
