She began working in the entertainment industry before she had turned 18 years old (modeling) and by the time she reached the legal age, she was a professional mud wrestler in Hollywood. Old enough to join the adult entertainment industry at that point, she quickly established herself as one half of the popular touring strip club feature act Blondage (the other half being Janine Lindemulder). The duo was incredibly successful, leading to offers to join in XXX filming.

Career

Julia made her porn debut in 1992 when she appeared in Andrew Blake's Hidden Obsessions-her first scene was a lesbian scene with her longtime friend and former dancing partner, Janine Lindemulder. She went on to work as a contract girl throughout most of her career in porn; her first contract being with Vivid, during which time she also made a series of Blondage films with Lindemulder. Later, she had contracts with Digital Playground and Wicked Pictures-eventually producing several hundreds of films. Additionally, Ann has been the host of the Playboy TV show Naughty Amateur Home Videos, along with fellow porn star Inari Vachs. Despite her successes, she claims to never watch any of her own performances, stating that she "is her own harshest critic."

Other Projects

Stating that she has always been interested in trying new things, she began working as a make-up artist in 2007. And has also had multiple appearances on television shows, series, and documentaries, such as Rated A for Adult, Night Calls, Dreamwagon: Inside the Adult Industry, The Man Show, How They Make Adult Movies, as well as the 1989 film American Angels: Baptism of Blood. Mainstream media once again came calling in 2013 with the opportunity to appear in a nation-wide commercial for CougarLife.com, a dating site where older women are paired with younger men.

Personal Life

Though she married film director Michael Raven in 2003, the two divorced in 2007. Since then, Julia has explained that she spends a great deal of time swimming and spending time riding her beloved horses; she developed a love for animals while growing up, particularly horses.

Quirky Facts

She underwent the surgical nose job procedure to remove the after effects of a broken nose suffered when a horse kicked her in the face.
