Ricky Sinz Male Porn Star Biography

Performing in both gay and straight films makes Ricky truly versatile.

Ricky performed eight years of service in the US Army as a Special Forces Sergeant First Class. Three of his military years were spent in Iraq where an explosive device caused head trauma, damaged his hearing in his right ear, and broke his right wrist. After recovering and coming home to the states Ricky used to be seen at various Chicago clubs, in the Boystown area, where he on occasion performed as a stripper or go-go dancer.

Ricky Sinz has had a wide range of involvement in different areas of the porn film industry, along with his various areas of life. His career has at times been seen as controversial. His films have spanned the range of straight, bisexual, gay and fetish pornography.

Ricky Sinz is a former co-owner of the straight adult film studio Hole and a Heartbeat Studios. He served as a director and a producer on several films for the studio as well as being an adult film actor. He left the studio and performed elsewhere in the gay adult film industry while away. In 2008 he bought out Scott LaRock, one of the previous owners, to return and once again become co-owner of the studio with fellow porn actor Gunner. His standing contract with Raging Stallion Studios was to remain for his hardcore gay porn performances and was not to be affected by the purchase of Hole and a Heartbeat Studios.

In April 2007, Ricky Sinz was listed in Chicago Magazine's Who Makes What - Salaries List as earning $570,000 by an article reporting 2006 salaries for various jobs in Chicago, 6 months following of the launch of his first hardcore site when it was co-owned with business partners Gunner and Scott LaRock.

Ricky Sinz signed as a Raging Stallion Studios Exclusive in 2007. He identifies himself as a bisexual man. In September 2008, Sinz became Raging Stallion's first Lifetime Exclusive after his first year contract expired that same year. The new deal covers films, print media, and web markets, as well as the development of new projects aimed at the mainstream gay market. At Raging Stallion's 2008 annual Folsom Street Fair pre-party, Sinz was named Raging Stallion Man of the Year for 2008.

While at Raging Stallion, he was a Technical Director as well as an actor for award-winning gay porn film Grunts, in which, at the 2008 GayVN Awards, he won 3 of the 8 awards for the film because of three of his performances. Grunts is purported to be the first gay porn film released on Blu-ray Disc and a film with a record breaking production budget in the gay porn industry.

At the 2009 GayVN Awards, Ricky was reported to have taken home more personal trophies in a single year than any other performer in GayVN history. Continuing in his tradition, at Raging Stallion Studios, he did not stop with the military based film Grunts and went on to star in a leading role for the subsequent higher-budget film To the Last Man.

In 2008, Ricky Sinz began to get more exposure to acting in more mainstream films.

Ricky Sinz did venture out of mainstream porn to work next door with Hornbill Films director Toby Ross, an award winning director with hands in independent film, softcore porn, and hardcore porn. Ricky starred in a film Live for Sex, Die for Love, which appears to be his first venture in to a more mainstream filming genre with a more acting based role. This film preceded his dramatic role in the gay porn film To the Last Man.

Profane - (Ricky's third more mainstream acting film - not hardcore porn) scheduled for release in 2009, this film is one of Ricky's most controversial projects that explores the sexual role of prostitutes in Islam in a very cutting edge film project directed by Usama Alshaibi.

In Spring 2009, Ricky Sinz began filming as part of the supporting cast in another film called "My Guaranteed Student Loan."

On December 4, 2008, Sinz was nominated GLBT Performer of the Year for the XBIZ Awards 2009, to be held in Hollywood, California. This award seems to represent a culmination of the softer side of the hardcore pornstar. He is reported to have raised more than $1 million dollars to support various charities and causes between 1998 and 2009 for such things as homeless shelters, HIV clinics, disabled veterans, breast cancer emergency funds, cancer foundations, and other areas including gay rights, and Special Olympics.

His Chicago based personal preferences for support in his own community are TPAN (Test Positive Aware Network) Bonaventure House, St. Judes, The Howard Brown Health Center, and the STOP AIDS project. He also tries to participate in the LGBT pride celebrations in Chicago when his schedule permits.
