Dane Cross, actor and director in the porn business finds success in a business that is actually "a detour" on the way to brighter, equally fulfilling mainstream pursuits. Recruited into porn in 2007 via a Craig's List ad for amateur couples, Dane Cross, whose stage name is a cross between Dan Cook and David Cross, started porn at age 24 and has made an impact on the business, both as a performer and director. His single director's credit, a film that he conceived of and developed in 2011 for Vivid Entertainment (Tosh Porn Oh) represents a high mark for this actor who also has performed in nearly 500 films for nearly all the studios in the industry. Wicked Pictures, Hustler Video, Club Jenna and Mile High are major studios that Dane Cross has collaborated with. Perhaps best known as Bud in the popular porn parody series, Not Married with Children XXX, Cross has won several top awards in the business, including the XBIZ "New Male Performer of the Year" award for 2010.

Career

Dane Cross was born on October 3, 1983, in San Francisco, California. A shared interest in film with his policeman father led Cross to produce film projects in high school. He went on to study film in college and later became a news cameraman. Answering an on-line ad at an adult website, he and his girlfriend at the time (Faye Reagan) began their porn careers and became frequent co-stars.
